Accessibility Updates: Co-Design, Feature Upgrades & Bug Fixes

At Theratrak, we’re on a big mission to make allied health services more accessible by anyone, anywhere.

We work to achieve this mission by supporting clinicians to streamline their workflows, decrease time spent on admin, and improve management of home programs. We support participants to reach their therapy goals where users can tick off their home therapy activities via the gamified app and support from our friendly characters.

Since 2018, the Theratrak team has been developing our platform based on feedback from our participants and therapists which drive every improvement we introduce.

As a healthtech startup, we work hard to balance ensuring our platform works, is useful, and is effective for everyone - while also building features to support the wide ranges of abilities our participants have.

We understand the importance of developing health tech that is not only effective but also caters to the diverse needs of our users.

Some of these updates we’ve been working towards for a long time. And we’re so happy to finally launch them into the world where our users can get more use out of them.

Find out more about the three key updates we’ve made to the Theratrak platform.

Theratrak Accessibility Improvement Updates

We’re always striving to improve what’s possible via Theratrak. We’re considering these updates to be a big first step on a journey to provide accessibility support for all our users.

This update is a major update for the Therapist and Participant apps. Small errors or bugs to fix are a normal part of the development process. Please feel free to get in touch if you experience any issues with the web platform or apps.

Please ensure you update your apps via the Apple App or Google play Stores.

Three major Theratrak accessibility changes:

Enhanced Accessibility:

  • We've upgraded our colour contrasts across both the therapist and participant apps ensuring better visibility for everyone!

  • The colour contrast now meets AAA WCAG standards which are widely accepted as the world-wide standards for digital accessibility with a rating from A to AAA which means Theratrak now has ‘excellent accessibility’ standards.

  • Whether you prefer light or dark mode, most users will notice improved readability and overall user experience.

  • A screen reader has been added for extra support for therapists and participants.

Bug Fixes and App Enhancements:

  • Thanks to invaluable feedback from our community we've addressed several issues to streamline the clinicians experience.

  • These bug fixes included:

    • Improved image and video loading times within the apps.

    • Resolved a tagging issue in our "Today in Therapy" feature.

    • Implemented automatic sentence capitalisation in all input fields which will reduce editing time for those who love good grammar!

Mandatory App Update for Theratrak Users

It can be hard to remember to update your app - and this app update is an important one!

With each update, we not only squash bugs but also roll out features designed to enhance your ability to manage therapy sessions more effectively. By keeping your app up to date, you ensure that you’re utilising the most secure, efficient, and user-friendly version of Theratrak.

We encourage all our therapists and participants to update their Theratrak app today to take advantage of these new enhancements.

How to Report Bugs via Theratrak

Encountering something that doesn’t work the way you want it to can be incredibly frustrating. But reporting these bugs to our team shouldn’t be hard.

If you do notice something that needs improving, just give your phone a little shake!

When you shake your phone when the Theratrak app is open on screen, a pop-up will appear for you to explain the issue so you can quickly and easily inform our team about the issue you’re experiencing.

Your message then gets sent to our team who are here to help and act on your feedback as soon as we can.

We really appreciate every piece of feedback we receive - good and bad! The good feedback lets us know what’s working really well and what our users love about Theratrak. And the not-so-good feedback lets us know what we can improve upon to make the Theratrak experience even better for our community.

Creating more Innovation for the Future of Allied Health

All the feedback we receive from our trakkers is invaluable to us. Through co-designing with clinicians and therapists, together we can continue to improve Theratrak for the people benefiting from the platform. We hope to add more improvements soon that will support both clinicians and participants.
