This Participant App update is one of the biggest updates we’ve ever done!
Our goals at Theratrak are twofold:
to support therapists to reduce their time on admin tasks, and,
to support participants to reach their therapy goals.
All our latest updates have been made with the goal to increase participant engagement (and fun!) when they’re doing their home therapy programs.
Co-designed with Health Professionals & Participants
We’ve been co-designing these updates alongside our users and we’re so excited for you to dive into the third version of the app.
Laura and the Theratrak team have spoken to both health professionals and participants to make this update the best it can be!
Theratrak has had a co-design approach to product development, and we’ve made sure these updates have the support from the latest behavioural science.
We’ve been working closely with all types of allied health therapists (occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists) and early intervention specialists, as well as kids, parents, carers, and adults with disabilities to make sure they’re excited about using this new version of Theratrak’s participant app.
To access this new version, let your participants know they need to update their app to see all of these new features now available on the Theratrak Participant App.

Introducing Kelly, your first Theramate!
The first Theramate we want to introduce you to is Kelly the Koala! Kelly acts as a friendly supporter cheering participants on and awarding badges for their consistent home therapy practice.
Kelly is your participant’s friendly supporter helping them complete their home program, send therapist feedback, and move towards their goals.
Updated navigation from the home screen.
Participants can quickly tick activities on the go and switch between therapies and accounts if you care for multiple people.
View therapy statistics in My Progress.
Within their app, Participants can now see their therapy progress over time seeing the number of weeks of therapy they’ve had, their average rate of completion, and the badges they’ve earned! This summary snapshot shows participants what they’ve completed each week and overall in therapy.
My journal records detailed feedback about therapy activities.
We’ve created a space where participants can record notes, and add pictures or videos, for their therapists to check in with later.
Earn skills badges and be rewarded for engaging in therapy activities.
Participants are now awarded colourful badges to celebrate their progress and showcase their dedication to their home programs.
Participants will be awarded badges when they first login, they first complete activities, and for doing specific tasks like completing their fine motor home program.
We’ve ensured these updates have the support of positive psychology to ensure the best outcome for users. Based on research, it takes 12 weeks to effect change in therapy so we’ve ensured that participants have at least 12 levels of skills badges to work through to keep their motivation high throughout that time.
Update the Participant App
Remind your participants to update their Theratrak Participant App and see how it impacts their engagement in therapy!
